Jolley Trolley Provides Patrons with Transportation During Clearwater Jazz Holiday

Clearwater, FL (PRWEB) October 14, 2013

The annual Clearwater Jazz Holiday, which consists of four days and nights of live jazz and music, will be held October 17-20 at Coachman Park. As a longtime pillar of the community, the Jolley Trolley will be providing reliable transportation to visitors during the music festival in an effort to improve mobility and reduce congestion throughout the area.

As a haven for tourists and enthusiastic locals, Clearwater has been a prime location for several festivals – the Clearwater Jazz Holiday, which began as a 10-day series of jazz concerts throughout the city, has taken full advantage of its home for the last 33 years and brought legendary talents to the area, including: Tony Bennett, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich and the Count Basie Orchestra, to name a few. The Jolley Trolley will operate throughout the entire festival and be available to all guests:

•Regular fares apply;

•An all-day pass provides unlimited rides at $ 4.50 for those six – 64 years of age and $ 2.25 for those 65 and older. Catch any trolley on the route or board the dedicated Jazz Holiday trolley at Pier 60 or the Publix at Island Estates;

•Coastal route trolleys will also be available from Coachman Park or Publix every hour, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday;

•Complimentary rides from the festival’s listed parking garages to Coachman Park will be provided.

Jolley Trolley Executive Director, Rosemary Longenecker, said that the Clearwater Jazz Holiday is a positive initiative that her organization is proud to support.

“The [Clearwater] Jazz Holiday has such a deep history embedded in the area and providing our services is the least we could do,” said Longenecker. “Our trolleys are designed for exactly what the Jazz Holiday patrons will need – dependable, comfortable transportation combined with friendly service.”

Jolley Trolley recently added another vehicle to its fleet – the organization has plans to expand its routes to include Westfield Mall and Safety Harbor in the spring of 2014. An additional trolley is also in the manufacturing stage, with an anticipated delivery date in mid-February, 2014.

To get the best value out of the trolley system, residents and visitors are encouraged to purchase a pass which allows unlimited rides, including all connections for the day. The pass is interchangeable between both the Jolley Trolley and the PSTA.
