ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (PRWEB) April 05, 2012

Now patrons of MacDinton’s Irish Pub in downtown St. Petersburg will pair tasty food with their drink orders. Today marks the debut of MacDinton’s custom, gourmet Irish Fusion menu, developed in cooperation with The Kitchen St. Pete, brand new to Jannus Live. Since opening in downtown St. Petersburg at the Jannus Live entertainment complex last year, MacDinton’s Irish Pub has grown exponentially in popularity and pleasures. MacDinton’s new menu is available exclusively to pub patrons, and is prepared at The Kitchen St. Pete, an adjacent 400-seat restaurant with something to please every palate.

“We’re thrilled to announce the opening of The Kitchen St. Pete right next door to our brand new pub location,” O’Connor said. “We had been searching for a second location for MacDinton’s Irish Pub for more than a year, and we were able to find the perfect venue to collaborate and create an all-inclusive entertainment hub in Downtown St. Petersburg.”

MacDinton’s new menu includes a fresh, original mix of Irish, American and Asian dishes including bangers and sangers (sausage and sandwiches), sushi (10 kinds), skewers with beef, chicken, pork or banger bites, Irish egg rolls, Sheppard’s pie, Gaelic chips and Irish nachos, just to scratch the culinary surface. There’s even a kid’s menu.

Headed by award-winning Chef Sean Squires, The Kitchen St. Pete will serve MacDinton’s patrons and Jannus Live concertgoers. Squires, a Tampa native and sought after culinary guru known for his ability to authentically create virtually any cuisine imaginable, is an award-winning culinary artist with more than 18 years experience creating gourmet fare that has earned him a following.

Among his accomplishments, Squires opened nationally renowned Salt Rock Grill in Indian Rocks Beach under the tutelage of Master Chef Tom Pritchard in the mid 1990’s, and later opened the successful Island Way Grill in 2002. Squires has developed menus and perfected his culinary talents from the Pacific Northwest to Southwest Florida.

The original MacDinton’s Irish Pub in Tampa’s trendy SoHo district has been a popular mainstay in Tampa nightlife since 2002. The new MacDinton’s Irish Pub in downtown St. Petersburg is located in the Jannus Live entertainment complex at 200 1st Avenue North, Suite 226, Saint Petersburg, FL 33701. MacDinton’s opens on weekdays at 4 pm, Saturdays at 10 am, and Sundays at 11 am, and stays open until 3 am each day.

About MacDinton’s Irish Pub:

MacDinton’s is the neighborhood bar of choice for South Tampa, and now downtown St. Petersburg denizens in search of the familiar. The Irish accents are as heavy as the Guinness and Harp on tap. Since 2002, MacDinton’s Irish Pub has been serving the over-21 crowd in Tampa’s trendy South Howard (SoHo) district. The best nights in SoHo either end or begin at this Irish Pub, always a great night out with friends enjoying the dance floor, four outdoor bars, and live entertainment. Friday’s signature $ 10 open bar happy hour offers all draft beers, house wines and well liquors (including Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort, and Finlandia liquors). Featuring live music weekly, and a beer list to please even the pickiest connoisseurs, there’s always a friendly (if not familiar) face at MacDinton’s Irish Pub, the Bay’s favorite happy hour destination, now on both sides of the bay.
