Have a great weekend, everybody!

With things beginning to return to normal in Egypt, I thought it was about time to dip into the Egypt archives in commemoration of a brighter future ahead. And to remind everyone in colder climes that warmer weather will return soon.

This is the Sonesta Beach Resort, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Hotel del Coronado
Luxury Resorts

We visited San Diego. Some work (Arizona Bar Association CLE by the Sea) (Continuing Legal Education) and some play.)
The Hotel del Coronado turned 125 years old this year. They wrapped the main tower in a gold ribbon and bow and had numerous exhibits and tchotchkes commemorating the milestone.

Hotel del Coronado (also known as The Del and Hotel Del) is a beachfront luxury hotel in the city of Coronado, just across the San Diego Bay from San Diego, California. It is one of the few surviving examples of an American architectural genre: the wooden Victorian beach resort. It is one of the oldest and largest all-wooden buildings in California and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977,[3][5] and is a designated California Historical Landmark.[4]

When it opened in 1888, it was the largest resort hotel in the world. It has hosted presidents, royalty, and celebrities through the years.[6] The hotel has been featured in numerous movies and books.

The hotel received a Four Diamond rating from the American Automobile Association,[7] and was once listed by USA Today as one of the "Top 10 Resorts In The World", though it has since been removed from that list.[8]

Why It’s Awesome: The history of the Hotel Del Coronado is what sets it apart from other hotels. Built in 1888, the Hotel Coronado San Diego is known for distinguished Queen Anne architecture which was popular in the Victorian Era, a bright red roof, Illinois Oak lobby, and a famous ghostly inhabitant, Kate Morgan. Ten United States Presidents have stayed at the famous Hotel Del Coronado as well as legends such as Babe Ruth and Thomas Edison. What better way to celebrate a little United States history than booking an elegant room at the waterfront Hotel Coronado San Diego?

I researched the Most Romantic things to do in San Diego and we did 5. Brunch in La Jolla and the La Jolla Cove, staying at the Hotel del Coronado, Sunset Dinner Cruise on Flagship Cruise Line, sunset and dinner at Bertrand’s at Mr. A’s, and a Sunday stroll along El Prado in Balboa Park.
