Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. Maintains Corporate Social ResponsibilityVolunteers at Island Earth Days

Palm Harbor, FL (PRWEB) May 20, 2013

Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. (NTC), a leading service provider for the residential mortgage industry, recently continued its incorporation of CSR into its business model. (CSR is a process which aims to embrace and encourage a positive impact through a company’s activities on the environment, community and surrounding public.) While CSR is typically carried out by international corporations with a broad global reach, NTC has managed to make an impact within its own Palm Harbor community. Through its “business with a purpose” mission, NTC has embraced and encouraged the purpose to have a positive impact on the environment and surrounding community.

NTC’s CEO John Hillman understands the difference a corporation such as NTC can make locally, and likes to maintain a strong connection to the Palm Harbor area. “As a company that resides in Palm Harbor, our commitment is to the local area and Tampa Bay as a whole,” said Hillman. “NTC has the manpower to forge a change, and that’s a big priority for us.”

Recently, 10 NTC volunteers attended “Island Earth Days,” held at Honeymoon Island State Park from April 20-21. The event was held in recognition of Earth Day, a worldwide annual event held on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Janice Rush, Community Relations Director at NTC was responsible to organize and find volunteers to man the free children’s art activities tent. In addition to coordinating the NTC employee volunteers, she organized a total of 40 student volunteers from Palm Harbor University High School (PHUSH). The event was considered a success drawing approximately 1,000 guests.

“We really enjoyed working with children at this event,” said Joellen Raiti, VP of Marketing at NTC. “Being involved in the community gives us a real sense of belonging, and we encourage all of our employees to get out there and do their part.”

In addition to “Island Earth Days” and in observance of Earth Day, NTC also planted a tree on NTC property to further show its support of Palm Harbor environmental issues as part of Palm Harbor’s sustainability initiatives.

NTC is also an active member of the Old Palm Harbor Main Street organization (OPHMS), a group accredited as a National Main Street Program committed to supporting the local existing merchants by enticing not only local residents but also tourists and seasonal visitors to spend time patronizing local Palm Harbor establishments. NTC regularly hosts a children’s art tent at the OPHMS’s “First Friday Food Truck Rally,” held on the first Friday of every month.

Many of NTC’s 350 local employees are active volunteers, and the company has been committed for years to helping the Tampa Bay region. NTC has demonstrated its dedication by way of its involvement in many community affairs, including:

●Blood drives;

●Food drives;

●Toy drives; and

●Various charitable events.
