Evan Weston is a Hollywood A-lister and serial manwhore. He’s come to Desire Resort for his final visit…for the umpteenth time. He says he’s ready to get his act together and is ready to find “the one”, however his repeated visits to the resort prove otherwise. Unfortunately it’s Evan’s reputation at the resort that might be his undoing, threatening his budding relationship with Dani, before it even gets off the ground.
Evan senses early on that Dani isn’t like the other women that usually throw themselves at him. First hint could have been that she didn’t in fact throw herself at him. When he begins to pursue her, (it is his last time at the resort after all), they each enter into the relationship as the one-week fling it is meant to be. Fate, by way of memories of Evan’s departed mother, seem to intervene and there might just be more to their relationship than they had originally anticipated. At the end of the week though, Evan gives Dani a choice…stay with him for another week, or return home to a life without the excitement and satisfaction that is Evan Weston.
Last Resort is a quick, fun read and would be excellent reading poolside or on the beach (I say that in a mind over matter exercise while being snowed in in February!). Like Roth’s other works, the characters are fun and well crafted and the storyline moves quickly, keeping the reader engrossed. The heat between Evan and Dani is palpable and definitely steamy, yet the relationship that develops between the two is sweet. I’m a fan of reformed bad boys and Evan is no exception. This one does end on a cliffhanger so I’m happy the next book in the series, Best Laid Plans is available right away. Thank god because I can’t get enough of Evan Weston!

Evan Weston is a hot movie actor, he doesn’t do relationship, only has random hook up, usually goes to the Divine Resort for escaping of the paparazzi and having sex with no string attached.
Danielle could be the last hook up in the resort for Evan, and he could be the first one for real, for Danielle.
This is my second book of Kate Roth, I read Natural Harmony on January and I really enjoyed it, so when Mrs Roth started her temptation with this book I didn’t resist and asked for an arc… Jeez it was totally worth it.
I was dragged in the Desire Resort & Spa in body and soul, but specially in body 😉 I breathed the sexy atmosphere in the place, I was witness of the seduction between Danielle and Evan, shared their desire for each other,
Both main characters are impressively interesting. I wanted to know the reasons why Danielle hasn’t had sex in six years, how she resisted having sexy boyfriends but no sex you know? It’s hard! Also I was dying for knowing Evan’s secrets, because he has one and boy it’s big!
The storyline is well written, erotic, balanced, and rhythmical, in spite of they’re in a sex resort (almost a meat-market) they don’t fall in the sex quickly, he cherishes her, wants to know her for real and so does she.
My rate for Last Resort is 5 divine stars because this book is irresistible.

LAST RESORT by Kate Roth is such a FUN summer read and you need to be near a pool or a beach or at least near some kind of body of water so you will have someplace to cool yourself down. I would even suggest taking the ice challenge after reading this book. I mean this book is all kinds of Hotness.
The plot seems to be simple. Dani’s boyfriend has broken up with her because she has problems when it comes down to getting down to it and she needs to get away. So, she books a trip to an island that specializes in grownup fun. Danielle needs this. She needs to relax and learn to have a “good time” but she meets hunky movie star Evan and he is so much more than she bargains. SERIOUSLY who can resist a hunky movie star?
I love this read!! I sat down to read a few chapters and all life stopped as I had to finish what I started. LAST RESORT is just that good. This is a steamy and hot read but the conversations between all the characters are superior. I love to read a book that is effortless to get involved with. I was just so enthralled. Just be warned, LAST RESORT does have a small cliff hanger but it will only leave you wanting to know what happens next and Kate Roth just leaves you hanging a little. The rest of Dani and Evan’s story is in BEST LAID PLANS, which comes out in September, so the wait will not be long.
I had so much fun with LAST RESORT and would suggest it to all my hooligan friends that love exotica.
