I live in Florida and bought this mainly for guests staying with us (so I don’t always have to explain everything from scratch) but found using it myself as well and enjoying it. If you’re only going to one particularly area I would probably buy a dedicated guide but overall it should keep you busy with ideas and the Miami, Everglades, Orland (Disney) chapters are particularly comprehensive and spot on in my opinion. This is all in terms of what to do, I never pay too much attention to the food recommendations with lonely planet without looking at reviews online as well.

Just OK. Florida is just too big for one book. Try to find a city or area specific guide unless you plan on buzzing all over the state.

Very helpful on our trip to Tampa. However a great addition is to talk to locals and says, “Where do you love to eat and why?”
