How an Online Magazine, MTL Magazine, Gets Creative by Starting an Ecommerce Site in Order to Capitalize in a Down Economy

Indian Rocks Beach, FL (PRWEB) October 16, 2009

MTL Magazine launched their e-commerce site, MTLBookstore.com, on October 2009; they set out to make a visibly enjoyable on-line site as their readers were accustomed to. The emerging business utilizes Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and contest sites to engage with potential customers.

MTL Bookstore

The founders of MTL Bookstore were directing customers to other online Christian bookstores, through their site and saw the potential to capture thousands of customers with their own online bookstore. They had also been growing the companies email list through online subscription, Facebook, Twitter, and contest being offered on Christian Contest. The savvy business provides customer product recommendations and now a place to buy those products at 10% of retail prices.

MTL Bookstore will also be partnering with a network of over 450 local bookstores who will be partnering with this site. Taking a current relationship with these stores and providing them with an affordable national brand for ecommerce. When a customer goes to check out and chooses their local bookstore that store will get credit for the sale, which helps local small business. The bookstore will also get the email and address of customer for marketing purposes.

Facebook has provided a fantastic platform to present products, authors, music, and new movies that Christians would be interested in. MTL Bookstore also plans to use online coupon sites, other Christian websites, eblast and more for marketing purposes.

To survive and prosper while helping local stores in this slow economy, we need a new solution for an online Christian bookstore. We think we have found it and when the recession is over we hope to be a step ahead of the competition.
