Free Community Easter Egg Hunt

(PRWEB) February 10, 2005

The Church of Scientology and the Clearwater Community Volunteers are proud to announce the very popular Easter Egg Hunt that takes place Easter Sunday in beautiful Coachman Park, downtown Clearwater at 12:30 pm sharp! These incredibly active groups invite you to join them for a very fun, very exciting afternoon at this year’s Easter Egg Hunt! Festivities begin at 12:00 noon and there are lots of activities to keep everyone busy until the hunt.

Once again, the hunt begins PROMPTLY at 12:30 pm and the the excitement is over quickly as thousands of feet and hands race to find over 30,000 eggs, which hold candy inside and the 200 Golden Eggs, which will give the lucky finder a prize of a stuffed bunny! Peter Cottontail has been VERY busy preparing and hiding these treasures! There are different age categories for the race and these will be posted with signs so you know where you need to be. Arrive early enough to park and find out where your children need to be located to race in their age category.

As soon as the announcement is made to begin the hunt, promptly at 12:30, children of all ages will rush forward and begin discovering the hidden eggs that are stuffed with candy and nestled in colored grass.

After the race is complete there are plenty of other activities to participate in. There is the petting zoo, where you can pet live bunnies, chickens, ducks and other small animals. Did you know that bunnies and chicks are popular at Easter because they represent the re-birth of the earth, and things coming back to life at Springtime?

And, a party wouldn’t be quite right without pony rides, so of course, the ponies will there. There will be Jugglers to amaze you, a Mime artist to astound you and a cartoonist and sketch artist to draw a funny picture of you! We’re also thinking that if you watch carefully you might see Peter Cottontail himself walking around the park to give out those hugs and take a picture with you!

Also, get plenty of rest because there will be a rip, roaring dance contest (with prizes) on the stage for everyone to show their talens AND David “L-vis” Peters is going to be there to make a special appearance!!

If this is still not enough fun and excitement for your children you may certainly bring them over to the bouncy house to release all that energy and jump to their hearts content.

This year’s Easter Egg Hunt is predicted to be the biggest and best ever, so come and participate in this FREE event, enjoy and celebrate.

Make sure that you plan to take advantage of our drawing of chance, which is $ 5 per ticket! Buy your ticket to win the absolutely enormous Easter Basket which has over $ 300 worth of fun goodies for adults and children of all ages…we’ll give you a hint here… a CD player, a boogie board, basketball, an inflatable tennis game, ars and crafts, bubbles, a 4 1/2 ft. sail plane, a beach umbrella AND SO MUCH MORE! You won’t believe your eyes!

The Clearwater Community Volunteers is the same group that sponsors, builds and runs the awesome Winter Wonderland, also located in downtown Clearwater each holiday season. Winter Wonderland, in addition to being the wonderful place for families to go for Christmas, actually serves the purpose of being a charity fund raiser. This past year an enormous amount of food, toys and money were donated to more needy families than EVER before! This group of volunteers is dedicated to providing beautiful, fun and active community events that are to be enjoyed and experienced by everyone!

The Clearwater Community Volunteers and the Church of Scientology invite you to spend Easter Sunday in the park and wish you a very Happy Easter. Everyone is welcome, and as alwasys, this is a FREE family event, so bring your families, your neighbors, your friends and pass the word around.

Remember, the race for eggs is at 12:30 sharp, so be sure to come early so you don’t miss the race! If you arrive at 12:31 you will be too late to participate in the hunt. Coachman Park is located at the edge of the Intracoastal Waterway on Drew St., just before the causeway to Clearwater Beach.
