So, in my 2-3 years since becoming an absolute Disney photography junkie, I’ve seen some absolutely aMAZing shot of Wishes! This is obviously not one of them. Not that the shot is terrible – but it’s not as good as it could be. Well, not even really close to as good as it could be. First off I didn’t have a tripod, which in my opinion is really essential when taking fireworks shots to get the exposure right. Second, I only had one hand to shoot with, because the other was holding my 4 year old daughter Anna. I’m amazed that I was actually able to get one decent shot without too much camera shake. And then this guy came and stood RIGHT in front of me. UUGGHHH. Oh not to mention my wife yelling at me every 10 seconds "WOULD YOU STOP TAKING PICTURES?!?". Needless to say I didn’t get many keepers.

A Beautiful Evening on World Showcase Lagoon

Today was an exciting day for me as far as software goes. I found out about an upgrade to Paint Shop Pro (X4), which is better and more powerful than ever. Guys, this is one heck of a deal… in my opinion it is more powerful than Adobe Elements (for the same price and many more features) and if you buy Ultimate () it comes bundled with Nik Color Efex Pro 3.0 Complete (which normally costs 9.00)! What a steal! I’ve tried to use Elements and I just keep going back to PSP. If you have been considering buying Nik Color Efex Pro and need a darn good editor to go with it, you just can’t beat it.
And then, I also found out that my favorite RAW converter, RAW Therapee, is out with a new version… it was like Christmas today!
As for the picture, I maybe went a little far with the colors – but I still like it… it was a beautiful evening at Epcot and this picture serves the purpose of bringing back that memory perfectly…
