The Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce will be presenting awards to top Businesses and community philanthropists at the 90th Annual Meeting. The SOLD OUT event is scheduled for January 23, 2012 at 5pm, located at the Sheraton Sand Key, 1160 Gulf Boulevard, Clearwater Beach, FL 33767. The keynote speaker will be Admiral William D. Baumgartner, District Commander, Seventh Coast Guard District, and Jen Holloway will be there as Master of Ceremonies.
The Annual Meeting is special this year as they will be celebrating 90 years as the only Regional Chamber of Commerce in Tampa Bay. To complement the milestone celebration, the Chamber updated their website to make it more user-friendly and help strengthen the resources for members. They have also re-branded their logo for a more updated look; while still obtaining the regional focus and serving the business community to maximize effectiveness in the region.
Awards presented will include: The prestigious Mr./Ms. Clearwater Award which has been given out every year since 1958 to individuals that have demonstrated integrity, community spirit and community development; Small Business of the Year; Medium Business of the Year; Large Business of the Year; Small Non-Profit of the Year; Medium Non-Profit of the Year; Large Non-Profit of the Year; Tourism Person of the Year; Ambassador of the Year, Business of the Year for Economic Development. In addition, the Chamber will present a special “Phillies All-Star in the Community Award” to an organization that has and will continue to be a catalyst for economic development and sustainability for the Clearwater business community.
