This is a view of the Hotel del Coronado from the beach.
The Hotel del Coronado turned 125 years old this year. They wrapped the main tower in a gold ribbon and bow and had numerous exhibits and tchotchkes commemorating the milestone.

Hotel del Coronado (also known as The Del and Hotel Del) is a beachfront luxury hotel in the city of Coronado, just across the San Diego Bay from San Diego, California. It is one of the few surviving examples of an American architectural genre: the wooden Victorian beach resort. It is one of the oldest and largest all-wooden buildings in California and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977,[3][5] and is a designated California Historical Landmark.[4]
When it opened in 1888, it was the largest resort hotel in the world. It has hosted presidents, royalty, and celebrities through the years.[6] The hotel has been featured in numerous movies and books.
The hotel received a Four Diamond rating from the American Automobile Association,[7] and was once listed by USA Today as one of the "Top 10 Resorts In The World", though it has since been removed from that list.[8]

Why It’s Awesome: The history of the Hotel Del Coronado is what sets it apart from other hotels. Built in 1888, the Hotel Coronado San Diego is known for distinguished Queen Anne architecture which was popular in the Victorian Era, a bright red roof, Illinois Oak lobby, and a famous ghostly inhabitant, Kate Morgan. Ten United States Presidents have stayed at the famous Hotel Del Coronado as well as legends such as Babe Ruth and Thomas Edison. What better way to celebrate a little United States history than booking an elegant room at the waterfront Hotel Coronado San Diego?

The Sultan Mosque rendered a little larger in cs3.
About the Sultan Mosque
The Sultan Mosque is the focal point of the historic Kampong Glam area. Also known as Masjid Sultan, it was named for Sultan Hussein Shah. The mosque was first built in the 1820s. However the original structure was demolished about a century later to make way for the current building, which was completed in 1932. The mosque holds great significance for the Muslim community, and is considered the national mosque of Singapore. It was designated a national monument in 1975. source: infopedia
vantage point: Textile Centre. How I get there? There’s a service lift at the front of Textile Centre (quite inconspicuous) close to the main road of Jalan Sultan. Go to level 21. You’ll see a fire escape door as you get out of the lift, leading you to a balcony with this breathtaking panorama. There are 3 views to choose from. Most photographers uses the car park next door (only up to level 4) but at level 21 this fire escape balcony has an open view with no obstruction and a lower parapet for a clear view of the whole vicinity.
