Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) May 05, 2014
FloridaBeachBar.com is pleased to announce the Top 10 Florida Beach Bars for 2014. The annual competition combines votes from site visitors with FloridaBeachBar.com’s Pink Flamingo rating to identify Florida’s best bars. Thousands of people picked their favorite beach bars with over 200 Florida beach bars receiving votes.
Jimmy B’s Beach Bar on St. Pete Beach and Sharky’s On the Pier in Venice swapped the lead for top spot throughout the voting. The results were extremely close, but in the end it was Jimmy B’s that prevailed as Florida’s 2014 Best Beach Bar. Bongos Beach Bar and Grille, also on St. Pete Beach, moved into third place and held that position for the remainder of the competition.
The Ocean Deck on Daytona Beach came in fourth in yet another close competition with the Golden Lion Cafe on Flagler Beach. The Ocean Deck came in fourth and has the 2014 honors for best Florida beach bar on the state’s east coast.
The Top 10 Florida Beach Bars for 2014 are:
1. Jimmy B’s Beach Bar, St. Pete Beach
2. Sharky’s On the Pier, Venice

Harry’s Beach Bar on St. Pete Beach, Paradise Bar and Grill on Pensacola Beach, and Racing’s North Turn in Ponce Inlet finished sixth, seventh, and eighth. All three are past winners and have consistently had strong showings in the competition for best Florida beach bar.
Toasted Monkey on St. Pete Beach made the Top 10 list for the first time this year. The beach bar reminded customers they received an honorable mention their first year in business and asked for their votes to make it into the Top 10. Sandshaker Lounge on Pensacola Beach, a three year winner, took the final spot on the Top 10 list.
St. Pete Beach tops the list of cities with the highest number of beach bars that received a vote, the most beach bars, the most beach bars in the top 10, and the highest number of votes for all Florida beach bars in a beach city. With its long list of “toes in the sand” beach bars, St. Pete Beach is clearly the Florida Beach Bar capital of Florida.
