Sarasota, Florida (PRWEB) May 13, 2013
After thousands of votes were cast and tabulated, Florida Beach Bar is pleased to present the Top 10 Florida Beach Bars for 2013. The competition was the most expansive and competitive contest to date. Votes more than doubled the total amount received in 2012. The leading bars changed daily and the intensity continued into the final hours of voting. In total, 244 different beach bars received votes.
Even with a very strong showing from St. Petes beach bars, it was Sharky’s On the Pier in Venice that took the honors of 2013 Best Florida Beach Bar. Sharkys was the top vote getter. Jimmy Bs Beach Bar of St. Pete Beach came in a very close second. The vote was so close that the actual winner was not determined until after all votes were in and the results audited. Jimmy B’s has a 5 Flamingo beach bar rating, the highest available from Florida Beach Bar. Bongos Beach Bar and Grille on St. Pete Beach, another 5 Flamingo rated beach bar, moved up to number three on Florida Beach Bars Top 10 list and was in the hunt for the top spot until the very end.
