Just in time for the busy summer travel season, the Superior Small Lodging™ Association (SSL) today announced that 33 St. Petersburg/ Clearwater area boutique hotels have achieved the organization’s prestigious Donald A. Dermody White Glove Award for housekeeping excellence.
St. Petersburg/Clearwater has almost 200 eligible area hotels, inns, B&B’s and resorts.
A remarkable 33 have earned this year’s highly coveted White Glove Award. “The White Glove Award applies the hospitality industry’s highest standards for housekeeping,” said June Mohns, a local leader and proprietor of Island Paradise Cottages of Madeira Beach. Properties must receive a Total Housekeeping Score of 100% in their annual review to receive this award. Only the best of the best are recognized.
“Cornell University’s, distinguished professor of Hospitality Donald Dermody created The Donald A. Dermody White Glove Award to recognize hotel owners who have achieved absolute perfect scores on their hotels housekeeping standards and room hygiene,” states Ben Hirshenfang, PRP property inspector.
