“We have all be touched personally by different forms of cancer and are happy to have the chance to give to such a great cause with what we love to do,” said Lori Fudens, co-owner of Sharmaines.
All proceeds will benefit research, treatment and education programs in breast cancer, HIV/AIDS and pediatric cancer and other life-threatening illnesses at City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute.
“This is the tenth year of the HopeCuts fundraiser, and we’re excited to have to have the support of so many great salons again,” said Tracy Anderson, event coordinator at City of Hope. “This event is a fun, easy way for people to pamper themselves for a great price, while knowing they’re helping to contribute to a very important cause.”
HopeCuts has taken place at various salons across the country since it’s beginnings at a Philadelphia salon in 1993. Last year, more than $ 160,000 was raised through HopeCuts for research and treatment at City of Hope.
