Run for a great cause! The Race Directors of the Say No To Drugs Holiday Classic 5K/10K announced they will be holding their 17th annual race over the new Memorial Causeway Bridge in Clearwater on Saturday, December 17th, 2005 – the very first 5K/10K to run over the new bridge.
The traditional 5K/10K race has a brand-new starting line and registration area and will start at 8:00am from the entrance to the new Memorial Causeway Bridge, where Chestnut and Pierce streets meet. Registration is at the Pinellas County parking garage at the corner of Court St., & Osceola Ave. The race ends at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach with shuttle buses bringing runners and family back over to the Fort Harrison Hotel auditorium for the traditional awards breakfast. This free awards breakfast will be in full regalia this year with the famous homemade pancakes, door prizes and vendor booths. And to top it off, a $ 1,000 prize purse will be distributed to the top finishers.
With over 100 races in the Tampa Bay area, the Say No To Drugs Holiday Classic ranks amongst the top in drawing elite athletes.
