Each resort has a myriad of dining selections that are sure to please. Upon arrival, dock the kayaks and dive into a feast of local flavors.

Create your own eco-tour while exploring the Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge, part of the Creole Nature Trail All-American Road. Launch into the Lacassine Pool to discover the 16,000 acres of a fresh water impoundment great for fishing, bird watching, and photography. Expect to catch bass, bluegill or crappie. Just make sure you have a Louisiana fishing license.

For those looking for sea or expedition kayaking the Joseph Harbor Launch in Grand Chenier and Davis Road/Jetty Boat Launch in Cameron both have kayak launches with access to the Gulf of Mexico. For dolphin spotting, launch a kayak at the ship channel near the Cameron ferry.
